The firm is very experienced with designing projects to LEED certification and with developing sustainable building strategies focused on pursuing net zero energy performance.

While not all projects have the allowable budget to pursue LEED certification, there are opportunities to implement efficient, durable, and cost savings system designs that achieve energy savings. By integrating high efficiency mechanical systems, like ground-source heat pumps and solar hot water collection, with on-site renewables and a high performance envelope, a low energy consumption solution can be achieved.

We have extensive experience with LEED, Energy Star, Washington Sustainable Schools Program, Evergreen Sustainable Development Standards, Greenbuild and other sustainable programs.

Our engineers assist owners with:

  • Developing an overall energy performance strategy
  • Modeling alternatives
  • Performing and evaluating life-cycle costs
  • Assisting with grant applications and energy rebates; and
  • Designing solutions that meet energy savings goals without sacrificing occupant comfort.

Greenbusch Group has been involved over seventy-five LEED projects:
