Acoustician and a/v designer

We are seeking an individual to support both our Acoustics and Audio/Video consulting departments. This position will be based in Seattle, Washington and is available immediately.

Responsibilities will include:
Acoustics

- Review building plans and analyze acoustical characteristics such as reverberation, sound isolation, HVAC system noise and vibration, structure borne sound transfer, etc.
- Develop acoustical recommendations to satisfy design criteria.
- Develop design narratives and coordination memoranda to support the design process.
- Assist with field measurements of acoustical properties, such as general background noise levels, ASTC, AIIC and T60.

Audio-Video:
- Design of complex AV systems.
- Preparation of systems drawings and specifications in CSI format.
- Coordination with Acousticians, Architects, Engineers, and Contractors.
- Assistance with Construction Administration during construction.
- Assistance with on-site testing, measurement, and commissioning of AV systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, mathematics, physical science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
- High appreciation for quality customer service.
- Self-motivated, able to manage own schedule, coordinate multiple projects, and reliably meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel.
- US Citizenship or appropriate work visa is required.

Vertical Transportation Consultant


The Greenbusch Group is a multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting firm located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The Mechanical Department is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to fill the position of Vertical Transportation Consultant to support a wide variety of interesting projects.

Job Responsibilities:
- Review preliminary architectural drawings and determining initial areas, sectional data and building populations for traffic analysis and prepare reports
- Coordination with clients
- Research manufacturer products for development of design standards
- Prepare specifications for designed equipment
- Review vendor bids and specifications for compliance
- Review vendor shop drawings and requests for information Job Requirements:
- Bachelorís Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Business with related industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience with design, construction management or sales of vertical transportation systems.
- Experience in a professional environment
- Skill with Microsoft products

Pluses include:
- PE / LEED AP/ QEI or the ability to acquire within 12 months
- proficiency in AutoCAD 2009, or higher, & Revit

Qualified Elevator Inspector



The Greenbusch Group is a multi-disciplinary engineering and consulting firm located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The Mechanical Department is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to fill the position of Qualified Elevator Inspector to support a wide variety of interesting projects.

Job Responsibilities:
-
Perform inspections for the purpose of due diligence reporting, maintenance audits, and scope determination for modernization projects.
- Coordination with clients
- Research manufacturer products for development of design standards
- Work with Engineers/drafters to develop biddable drawings and specifications for designed equipment
- Review vendor bids and specifications for compliance
- Review vendor shop drawings and requests for information

  • Job Requirements:
    - QEI Certification.
    - Technical degree and/or equivalent work experience installing and maintaining commercial vertical transportation systems.
    - 5+ years of experience working as an inspector or in the consulting field
    - Experience in a professional environment
    - Skill with Microsoft produc

Mechanical Designer

The successful candidate for this position will possess:
 - 2 years, minimum, of progressive experience in mechanical systems design
 - demonstrated experience with the design and construction processes of publicly funded projects
 - verified technical experience and education in the design of HVAC and plumbing systems
 - excellent communication skills and knowledge of mechanical systems
 - experience in a professional environment
 - skill with Microsoft products
 - an Engineering degree, or documented technical degree, in an applicable field

Pluses include:
 - EIT / PE / LEED AP / CCP
 - field experience in the A/E/C industry
 - proficiency in AutoCAD 2009, or higher, & RevitMEP

The position will, depending on your experience, include:
 - design of HVAC/Plumbing systems
 - preparation of drawings to support Project Managers
 - writing specifications and reports
 - project management
