North Transfer Station

Greenbusch Group (GBG) completed the HVAC, piping, plumbing, acoustical and elevator designs for a new, completely enclosed, 150,000 SF tipping and transfer building, a 14,000 SF recycle building, and an associated 10,000 SF office building. The facility is located on an existing site, within a dense, urban, residential neighborhood. The design team successfully integrated intense community design restrictions (height, noise, mechanical roof top equipment, etc) into the LEED GoldŽ facility.
Scope included ventilation for life safety and odor elimination, which provides up to eight air changes per hour (~535,000 cfm), as well as plumbing and piping systems for restrooms, and industrial infrastructure (such as washdown hose reels, compressed air, emergency eye wash and drench shower stations). The recycle building systems are similar to those in the tipping/transfer facility, with 40,000 cfm of ventilation and industrial infrastructure. Scope for the office building included HVAC, by water source heat pumps, and high efficiency plumbing systems.

Park 90/5 Shops Remodel
SHKS - Seattle, WA
Heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning are provided to the office areas by six electric cooling, gas heat packaged units.
The warehouse and three maintenance shops - paint, carpentry, and electrical/plumbing/HVAC, are heated by separate gas fired unit heaters with make-up air provided by gravity ventilators.
The wood shop was provided with a sawdust collector with gravity ventilator to provide make-up air.
New plumbing service and fixtures were provided, as well as natural gas piping.

Spokane Street Campus Fire Sprinkler System
Seattle City Light - Seattle, WA
Our firm served as prime consultant, providing engineering services for the relocation of Fire Protection Services.
We conducted site visits, potholing to expose underground piping conditions, coordinated utility locate service results, combined with review of customer drawings to document existing conditions.
The intent was to determine where water utility services must be located to avoid conflicts with roadway structure and to eliminate cross connections between domestic water and fire protection.
Existing Generator Evaluation, Upgrades & Replacement
King County - Seattle, WA
Provided HVAC, ventilation for occupation hazards and safety, heat for freeze protection, fire protection, as well as domestic water and plumbing.
Also provided temperature control & instrument systems and noise control for mechanical equipment with regard to Emergency Generators at King County regulator stations and pump stations.
