Green River College Cedar Hall Renovation
Cedar Hall, one of three facilities forming the campus' science-tech hub, was completely transformed from its 1970’s era roots to a modernized and contemporary functionality that will serve the campus for another fifty years.
Greenbusch, as subconsultant to S.M. Stemper Architects, provided comprehensive Mechanical Engineering, Acoustical Design and Audio/Video Engineering services. All building infrastructure systems were demolished and replaced. Greenbusch designed heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing, as well as fire sprinkler infrastructure. A fourth floor was added to house mechanical systems enabling ease of access for maintenance: Greenbusch was instrumental in working with the owner and architect to layout the new systems in the enclosed rooftop attic/canopy structure. Featuring a soaring, open entry, Acoustical design recommendations included detailing for control of noise in this space. The building is LEED Silver certified.
