Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District Blower Room Sound Abatement

Greenbusch provided recommendations for reducing blower sound levels in office and lab spaces above the Blower Room at the Jordan Valley Water Purification Plant. Staff measured sound and vibration levels generated by air scour blowers installed on Level 1 received by office and lab spaces on Level 2, above. Measurements were made of sound and vibration levels to identify dominant sources of acoustic energy transfer into the Level 2 spaces for the various operation conditions. Measurements were also conducted after noise and vibration control measures were implemented and demonstrated significant reductions.
