Monroe School District, Park Place Middle School
The modernized, 128,000 sf school emphasizes open learning and joint instructional classroom teaching and was built in two phases allowing students to attend school while under construction.
Greenbusch designed mechanical systems feature: High-efficiency variable speed motors; Outside air is controlled by CO2 sensors so that the rooms don’t run air when the rooms are not occupied; Right-sized chiller means less wasted cold air when the school is out of session during the summer/holidays and reduced the size of pumps; Roof-top units were prefabricated with coils easing installation and reduced cost.
Audio/Video technology upgrades include 75 inch touch screens in most classrooms and an oversized Video wall in the commons area.
