Federal Center South
This award-winning, $74M, 209,000 SF, three-story headquarters building for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, includes a large atrium space, a divisible Multi-purpose room, Training and Meeting Rooms, and open offices.
As a subconsultant to ZGF Architects, Greenbusch provided Acoustical Design recommendations for credit toward LEED Gold certification including:
- Sound isolation, with special attention given to the Multi-purpose, Training and Meeting rooms;
- Surface finishes to control noise and reverberation, which is critical for speech privacy in the open offices and Atrium;
- Mechanical system noise and vibration mitigation.
