Fire Station 22

The new $13 million, 10,000 SF station is a two-story, steel-framed structure with updated systems, decontamination clean room and storage for major disaster supplies. It houses the E22 Engine Company as well as the department’s Incident Command Unit.

As subconsultant to Weinstein A+U, Greenbusch provided Mechanical Engineering and Acoustical Design services. The LEED Platinum certified facility accommodates a drive-thru apparatus bay for efficient flow of fire engines and vehicles, features solar panels on the roof, buried cisterns in the apparatus bay for reuse of captured roof rainwater, and highly efficient building systems providing a healthy environment for crews.
